The Patrick County Youth Rally, Inc. was founded in 2006 as the vision of JW and Kim Young. They began to share their vision with others and many got on board with the idea of doing a youth rally in Patrick County. Our first year was hectic but through much prayer and cooperation from others it was a great success.
We held the event in the auditorium of the Patrick County High School. There were two local bands and the PCHS Praise and Worship team that preformed. The message was delivered by an evangelist from Jamestown TN., Jason Kerr, who brought the gospel of Jesus Christ to the over 1100 people in attendance. Men and Women, Boys and Girls, people of every age and denomination flocked to the stage for the alter call. There were over 100 people that either rededicated or received salvation that night.
Since we out grew the auditorium our first year, we moved the event to the gymnasium for the following year. The lineup remained the same but we had an even greater turnout with over 1500 people. At the altar call over 200 people made a profession of faith. God has moved strongly at these two rallies and we expect Him to be in control this year as well.
The Patrick County Xperience Youth Rally operates solely on volunteers, donations and fund raisers. The Lord has been good to us and has met every need for each event, even as the cost rises each year. We are a non-profit organization and our members consist of a variety of people from a variety of churches. We are a group of Pastors, Youth Pastors, Youth Leaders, Deacons, Sunday School Teachers and just plain Christians that are on fire and share this vision of reaching our county and surrounding counties with the Gospel. Although there are many different Christian denominations represented in this organization, we do not promote one denomination over another; in fact, we set aside denomination and place our focus on Jesus Christ for this event.
